National Championships: Wrap Up

30.06.2025

Over the past week, our Pro and Devo riders competed across 13 nations, proudly honoring the jersey with the shield. Their efforts delivered 3 national titles, 4 podium finishes, and 8 Top-5 results — a true testament to teamwork, strategy, and strength.

Double Victory for Aivaras Mikutis in Lithuania

A standout performance came from Aivaras Mikutis, who claimed both the Time Trial and Road Race titles. Strong in the effort against the clock - having won the TT twice before - Aivaras added the road race title to his palmarès after 176km of racing in Cesu Novads, Latvia, during this year’s Baltic Championships. Racing against riders from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, Aivaras won the road title for the first time in his career.

Tactics in Luxembourg: Kluckers Takes the Win

In Luxembourg, Arthur Kluckers led a masterful performance, winning the 138km Road Race solo ahead of teammate Luc Wirtgen, with Devo rider Arno Wallenborn securing 4th. The trio executed a team strategy without mistakes: join the decisive breakaway and use their numbers to control the race.

“The race went quite perfectly,” said Arthur. “With Luc and Arno, we created a situation where we had three riders in a group of seven or eight and could play our cards. I attacked with 5-6km to go and managed to stay away. Sharing the podium with Luc was even more special.”

Arthur also took 4th in the Time Trial earlier in the week.

Podiums in Switzerland and Sweden

  • In Switzerland, Marc Hirschi added a second-place finish, continuing the team’s podium streak in the event for a third consecutive year. After bridging to the lead group alongside Mauro Schmid and with crucial help from Fabian Weiss, Marc contested the final sprint of four over 178km, eventually taking silver.

  • In the Swiss Time Trial, Yannis Voisard delivered a strong ride to claim 3rd, joined in the Top 5 by Fabian Weiss (4th) and Joel Suter (5th).

  • In Sweden, the Eriksson brothers’ three-year hold on the national title came to an end after 200km of intense racing. Despite a strong breakaway effort, the hard final saw riders finishing one by one, with Lucas sprinting second and the title changing hands.

Top-5 Across Europe

  • Marco Haller took 4th in Austria, 2 minutes behind the podium trio.

  • Rick Pluimers sprinted to 4th in the Netherlands, with strong lead-out support from Arvid de Kleijn, making his return after a long injury. “Arvid helped me get into a perfect position. I launched with 200m to go and got passed by world-class sprinters. I’m more than satisfied,” said Rick.

  • Florian Stork finished 5th in Germany after animating the race from a break of six. Despite missing the decisive move on the final climb with 5km remaining, he crossed the line just 18 seconds behind the winner.

  • Petr Kelemen rounded out the results with 5th place in the Czech Time Trial on Thursday.

13 Nations. 3 Titles. 4 Podiums. 8 Top-5s. An intense week of racing that showcased both individual brilliance and collective strength. We’re proud to bring these jerseys and results into the second half of the season.
