Solo Win For Mayrhofer At Boucles De La Mayenne

01.06.2025

Marius Mayrhofer delivered a commanding solo victory on the final stage of the 2025 Boucles de la Mayenne, a 163.9 km route from Javron-les-Chapelles to Laval. After joining an early breakaway, Mayrhofer launched a decisive attack on the final circuit's climb, distancing his two companions with 15 km remaining. He maintained a strong pace to the finish, holding off the peloton to win by 32 seconds. This triumph marks his first win with Tudor Pro Cycling and the second in his young career.

Marius: "I came into this stage with the mindset that I didn’t want to have any regrets. I was also aiming for the sprint, but after the sprint for the bonus seconds, the breakaway went—and I kind of ended up there by accident. At first, things didn’t look too good when we arrived on the circuit with just over a one-minute lead. I felt my two breakaway companions were on their limit, so I knew it would be tough with them. I felt strong and decided to try one hard attack on the climb. If I could drop them, I’d go full gas to the finish. That’s what I did and I’m very happy with this victory."
