Performance Nutritionist (m/w/d), 100%
CONTRACT: Permanent position. Candaidates must already hold all necessary rights and permits to work in Europe. Visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION: Europe-based, hybrid and travel-based role. Remote working combined with approximately 100 days of travel per year across Europe. Candidates must be based within reasonable travelling distance of the team’s European activities and

In this role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality team-wide support alongside more individualised support to riders. You will develop and implement bespoke nutrition strategies across both training and racing environments, while balancing these responsibilities with the practical demands of on-race service delivery. Your work will play an important role in supporting rider performance, recovery, physical health and overall wellbeing. You will also help shape a positive nutrition culture across riders and staff, communicating effectively and translating evidence-based practice into practical, athlete-centred solutions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Nutrition Service Delivery

Contribute to the development, and lead the implementation, of nutrition strategies tailored to training and racing demands.

Ensure all strategies are informed by best-in-class knowledge of elite cycling performance and delivered through rigorous, evidence-based methods.

Deliver team-wide nutrition support alongside individualised 1:1 support.

Assess, monitor and adapt nutrition strategies using performance data, rider feedback and multidisciplinary input.

Collaborate with coaches, medical staff and chefs to support rider performance, recovery, health, body composition and return to training.

Coordinate nutrition provision across races and training camps, working closely with chefs, operations, logistics, soigneurs and hotel staff.

Attend relevant races, camps and meetings to ensure effective implementation of nutrition strategies and alignment with team goals.

Promote a food-first approach and help embed nutrition as an integral part of the team’s high-performance culture.

Contribute to multidisciplinary performance and wellbeing projects
Communication, Operations and Governance

Build and maintain strong working relationships across coaching, medical, performance, culinary and operational departments.

Maintain accurate records of nutrition interventions, supplements and relevant rider data.

Provide clear reporting on nutrition service delivery, race nutrition, body composition and other key performance areas.

Support the monitoring and ordering of supplements and performance nutrition products.

Maintain appropriate food safety standards and comply with relevant professional standards, anti-doping regulations and team policies
Professional Development and Innovation

Maintain relevant CPD and remain current with developments in sports nutrition and elite cycling.

Critically evaluate emerging research, technologies and practices for opportunities to enhance rider health and performance.
YOUR PROFILE:

Undergraduate degree in Sport Science, Nutrition, Dietetics or a related discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in Sports Nutrition (e.g. IOC Diploma, PGCert/PGDip/MSc/PhD in Sports Nutrition or equivalent postgraduate qualification).

Current accreditation or registration with a recognised nutrition, sports nutrition or dietetic professional body (e.g. SENr, Swiss Sports Nutrition Society or international equivalent).

Additional requirements: ISAK Level 1, Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 (or equivalent), Anti-Doping Advisor qualification, and a clean driving licence

Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering nutrition support within high-performance sport, with a strong understanding of the performance, health and clinical nutrition demands of elite endurance and weight-sensitive athletes, including body composition and weight management.

Demonstrable experience delivering nutrition support within professional cycling, ideally at UCI WorldTeam or ProTeam level.

Ability to interpret training and racing demands, scientific evidence and athlete data and translate these into practical, individualised food, fuelling, hydration and recovery strategies

Demonstrated ability to build trust, credibility and effective long-term relationships with riders and staff, supporting engagement and positively influencing nutrition behaviours.

Proven ability to work effectively with coaches, medical, performance and operational staff to align nutrition strategies with wider rider and team objectives

Experience developing and implementing safe, evidence-based supplement strategies, with a strong understanding of anti-doping requirements, alongside competence in dietary analysis, athlete monitoring and nutrition-related data-management systems.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously, manage competing demands and operate effectively within fast-paced, dynamic training and racing environments.
