Finishing off a great team effort, Arvid De Kleijn took his second win of the season at Grand Prix Fourmies.

Coming back after a long break due to a knee injury in April, sprinter Arvid De Kleijn found his legs but most importantly his leadout train again at Grand Prix de Fourmies. Arvid’s “squad” made of Sebastian Kolze Changizi, Rick Pluimers and Mikael Zijlaard also suffered multiple injuries and today was the first time they raced together again. What a comeback!
“It was a hard race with a lot of attacks. It was pretty uncontrolled, but we kept calm. We were here with the “Dutch squad” and a Danish guy, and we didn’t race together for a long time. We were keen to show that we are a group that can win. It was a great team effort with Seb (Loze Changizi) first, then Rick (Pluimers) until 500m and then Mikael (Zijlaard) who always delivers a great lead out. I just had to finish it off.”
Arvid De Kleijn will be at the start of the Grand Prix Isberges next week with the very similar Team line-up. “We’ll try it again there” said the Dutchman before stepping on the podium in Fourmies.
