Ronde Van Vlaanderen: the second Monument of the season, the first cobbled classic. 278 relentless kilometers across the windswept roads of Flanders, Belgium.

With 100km to go, the race comes alive. A 17-man chase group forms behind the early breakaway - a selection of the strongest riders in the world. The Tudor shield is well represented: Matteo Trentin, lining up for this 14th Ronde, and Rick Pluimers, in just his third appearance.

The second ascent of the Oude Kwaremont sees the front split again, with the Italian classics specialist digging deep in the chase of the five riders ahead. Then, a crash turns promise into heartbreak. From one of his strongest rides at De Ronde, Matteo is forced to abandon the race with a broken collarbone.

At the finish, Marco Haller, Rick Pluimers and Luca Mozzato show off the Tudor colours in what many consider the most beautiful classic of the season.
