Lennart Jasch Wins Stage 2 and Takes Le Tour de Langkawi Lead
For the fourth consecutive year, Tudor Pro Cycling has claimed a victory at Le Tour de Langkawi. Following Arvid de Kleijn’s six wins between 2023 and 2025, it was Lennart Jasch’s turn to raise his arms on Stage 2, as the young German claimed a brilliant solo victory and took the overall race lead. The win marks Jasch’s third victory of the season, coming just one week after his previous triumph.

After yesterday’s opening sprint stage, Le Tour de Langkawi moved into the mountains, with the first major climb providing the first real test of the race. Tudor Pro Cycling took control of the finale, protecting Lennart as the race headed towards the decisive final ascent.
The 10-kilometre climb averaged 9% and saw several attacks as the pace intensified. Lennart remained patient, following the action and conserving his energy before making his move in the closing kilometres.
With 2km to go, when he heard he was 25 seconds behind the solo leader, the 25-year-old launched his attack: he bridged across to the front, distanced the only rival left and powered clear to take the stage victory – and with it, the overall race lead.
“I am super happy. It’s only been one week since my last victory, so I never thought this could happen. I have to thank the Team so much – they did an amazing job keeping me in front throughout the climb."
“I wanted to attack earlier, but I hesitated because I didn’t know how the heat would affect me and the climb was really long and hard. With 2km to go, I was 25 seconds behind and felt it was a ‘now or never’ moment. Luckily, I could distance everyone else and take the win.
“I’m super happy to take my third win of the season and to have the support of the Team. From now, we’ll go day by day.”
Lennart now leads the general classification as Le Tour de Langkawi heads into a sprint stage tomorrow, before two more decisive climbing stages on Stages 4 and 5.
