The all-new BMC Timemachine Mpc. has made its first official appearance in competition today at Volta ao Algarve, marking a major milestone for BMC Switzerland and Tudor Pro Cycling Team after months of intensive development aimed at redefining time trial performance.

Stefan Küng, Yannis Voisard and Julian Alaphilippe raced the 19.5km loop around Vilamoura on the new BMC Timemachine Mpc. The Swiss duo delivered two top-20 finishes, with time trial specialist Stefan powering to a strong 7th place, while Yannis secured 20th.

A true collaboration between BMC and Tudor Pro Cycling

Born from an uncompromising demand for more speed at the highest level of the racing, the project began when Tudor Pro Cycling set this goal: achieve a 3% total system drag reduction - not just from the rider or components, but primarily by improving the frameset itself. In a discipline where average speeds are very high and margins are measured in seconds, even fractional gains can decide victory.

What followed was an unprecedented collaboration between the engineers at Tudor’s Innovation department and BMC’s Impec Lab. The shared obsession with winning overrode commercial considerations, allowing the teams to focus purely on performance.

Central to the breakthrough was an AeroSynthesis philosophy - a holistic approach that integrates rider, components, and frameset into one aerodynamic system. Rapid in-house prototyping at the Impec Lab enabled the team to move from concept to rideable prototype in a matter of hours, dramatically accelerating development in order to meet the tight deadline for the 2026 race season.

After hundreds of simulations and refinements, the Timemachine Mpc. achieved a yaw-weighted 3.7% system drag reduction under updated UCI regulations - exceeding the original 3% target.

The bike’s competition debut is the culmination of deep trust between Tudor Pro Cycling and BMC. Now validated in real racing conditions, the Timemachine Mpc. begins its next chapter where it will eventually be raced all Tudor Pro Cycling riders when racing against the clock.
