Tudor Pro Cycling is thrilled to announce the signing of a long-term contract extension with  Mathys Rondel. The 22-year-old climber and GC talent from France secures his spot on the Team through 2030. This agreement reflects a deep mutual trust and a shared vision for future success.

Mathys, a former speed skater (get to know Mathys), joined the Tudor Pro Cycling Development Team in 2023, turned pro two years later, and has flourished since. He relocated to the Pyrenees to find the perfect training ground for the type of rider he is and to pursue his dream of reaching the sport’s highest level. With strong top 10 GC results last year - 9th at the Tour de Romandie, a 4th place at the Tour of Luxembourg – Mathys quickly gained a new status in the Team. After concluding this year’s Paris-Nice in 8th overall, where he was the Team’s GC leader, he expresses pride and enthusiasm about extending with the Team: “I am very happy and proud to continue with Tudor Pro Cycling - a Team truly committed to development. This contract extension signals mutual trust and our shared commitment to building the future together.”

The new agreement offers both Mathys and the Team stability, providing the foundation needed to focus on performance and long-term objectives. “It’s a long-term contract, and that’s how I see my development - as a process that requires time, trust, and the right environment. I feel that Tudor Pro Cycling is the best place for me to continue progressing and achieving the next steps as a climber and GC rider,” says Mathys.

Raphael Meyer, CEO and Co-Owner of Tudor Pro Cycling, echoes Mathys, emphasising the importance of investing in young talent and building lasting partnerships. “We are excited to support Mathys’ growth and continue achieving great results together. Mathys came from another sport, joined our scouting program, progressed to the Development Team, and turned pro with us. Seeing him finish in the top 10 of a WorldTour stage race last year and perform at a high level this year already makes us proud and demonstrates the strength of our talent development strategy. Securing Mathys through 2030 clearly shows our long-term vision with him.”

With this new contract, Mathys and Tudor Pro Cycling reaffirm their commitment to building a successful future and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
