Tudor Pro Cycling Makes Its Mark in Tour de France Second Week

After an already promising first week, Tudor Pro Cycling continued to impress during the second week of the 2025 Tour de France with consistent attacking riding, multiple breakaway appearances, and a well-earned double highlight in Stage 15, a third-place podium finish for Julian Alaphilippe and the Most Combative Rider award for Michael Storer.

The second week, though short with just five stages including a mountain time trial, saw Tudor Pro Cycling execute its aggressive race plan with focus and resilience. Whether on mountain terrain or rolling roads, the Team made sure to be visible and dangerous in the breakaways, constantly forcing the race to unfold on their terms.

“This was a very short second week, with only five stages including a mountain time trial,” explained Sports Director Matteo Tosatto. “Michael Storer showed again his top shape, being active in multiple breakaways, including yesterday. Stage 15 suited our riders very well, but Julian’s crash early in the stage shook our cards and we had to play once again Michael’s card in the break. The team rode very well, and we’re happy to manage the Most Combative Rider with Michael and the third place with Julian, who finally found himself again after starting the Tour a bit sick. We showed we’re there and we plan to do the same in the third week: the goal is still to win a stage, and we’ll use all our cards to achieve our goal.”

Michael Storer has been one of the Tour’s most active riders, getting into five breakaways so far, three of them coming just in the second week. His attacking consistency delivered tangible results: a third-place finish in Vire Normandie, fifth at Le Mont-Dore Puy de Sancy, and now the coveted prize for Stage 15’s Most Combative Rider.

“I am happy with the last two weeks,” said Michael. “As a Team, we are showing our fighting spirit by being active players of the race most of the days. Stage 6 was my strongest performance so far, as everything went kind of perfect. We still have six days left with three mountain stages, so I’ll try again to get the best result possible for the Team.”

Julian Alaphilippe, meanwhile, continues his return to form after a rough start to the Tour. Having battled illness in the early stages, the popular French rider finally showed flashes of his best self with a strong third-place finish on Stage 15, even after an early crash that could have ended his Tour de France.

“We had a really good Tour de France so far and showed a strong and offensive way of racing,” said Julian. “We embraced all chances possible: Alberto in the sprints with the team around him, Michael and I gave our best in the stages suiting us best. I started sick and suffered in the first stages, where I couldn’t show my best potential. I was happy to help Michael, with yesterday being the perfect example: the team made everything to put him in the front and that resulted in the Most Combative Rider of the day. After yesterday’s crash, I am happy to be OK — you never know after a crash. My legs are better and better and yesterday was the confirmation of this.”

With six stages left, including three tough days in the Alps, the Team remains hungry for a stage win. If the last two weeks are any indicator, Tudor Pro Cycling will leave nothing to chance in pursuit of that goal.
